Don’t bother calling if you have an emergency - it’s a complete waste of time. I can’t comment on actual quality of work because we couldn’t get anyone to show up as promised. Long story short, we are currently experiencing a major plumbing problem at our home that renders both bathrooms useless at the moment. We called at 7:00pm and were told we were put on the schedule to have an appointment the same night and that dispatch would reach out 30-45 minutes before a technician’s arrival. By a little after 9:00, there was still no additional communication, so we called back in. Got told basically the same thing - no update, appointment still shows scheduled for tonight. So we continue to wait…still nothing a little after 10, so we call back again and have the same conversation. It’s frustrating when you call in because you have to fight through a virtual assistant to get to a person, but you cannot apparently directly speak to dispatch unless they initiate the call. We called again at 11:30 when there was still no updates and we requested multiple times to talk to dispatch just for a rough idea of what was going on. On this last call, we were finally told that basically daily service stops at 8:00pm, so now we wouldn’t be seen until tomorrow. If that is indeed the case and you do not do emergency work as advertised, please lead with that so consumers can make educated decisions and alternate arrangements with honest and transparent companies.

Can’t say enough wonderful things about this company! My furnace went sometime late Friday night and they were at my house Saturday morning at 9am discovered problem immediately got it working again but part needed replaced ( the sound it made was indication enough) - older furnace- cheaper to just buy a new one and they bought new heaters at Home Depot incase the part gave out before installation of new furnace which was to be Tuesday but got a text Sunday that they would be here at 8am on Monday. Everyone was super nice and understanding add customer service was AWESOME! Installation was quick and they did a beautiful job!

Went with a local independent plumber who charged $140 for labor and i supplied the faucet for less than $150.

For a small job like this, i would recommend shopping around.

Really great experience!! The woman at the office was friendly and kind when I called, fully explained the pricing structure and got me a same day appointment. Our furnace had died and we were so cold!! Our technician was extremely professional and took care of our problem same day, even driving to Pittsburgh to pick up the part that was needed and coming back to install it. Added 6/24/24 - I am very happy with the new split A/C unit that was installed today. The technicians, Rob F., Ryan K. and Luke, where very polite, very professional and very neat. Everything was thoroughly explained, and all features were demonstrated. This was scheduled as a 2-day job but was done in 1 day with excellent results. I have used McVay Plumbing for years and am very happy that they have branched out to A/C & Heating as well as Electric. Now, I will use them for all of these needs!

Had a clog in my sewer drain. "Stuff" was backing up and coming out onto the floor. I'm a general contractor by trade, so I have a lot experience with dealing with plumbers. It was very easy setting up a visit for them send a guy out. He showed up within 45 minutes, and cleared the clog in about an hour. He was very professional and problem solved my issue quickly. Excellent communication every step in the process. Approximate 200 foot sewer line needed work to pass a dye test for our Township. McVay worked with our Sewer Line Insurance company to ensure that Insurance paid their part and we paid only what the policy stated was our part of the work. McVay did a wonderful job, including backfilling the work done in our yard to complete the job. From the various specialized workers and teams, to the office staff and supervisor, all treated us with respect and explained every step along the way.
McVey should be everyone's go to company for all their sewer, plumbing, heating and cooling needs. Give them a call in the future, you will not be disappointed. We plan on using McVay for all our needs that their company offers, no need to call anyone else!

Randy from McVay came out to investigate and open our main sewer line which was backing up into our basement. We previously had another company come out 2 weeks prior to do the same. At that time they snaked the drain and removed some roots. But the problem persisted and we we're still getting sewage backup.

Randy arrived on time and prepared. He couldn't of been more professional or knowledgeable. You could instantly tell he knew what he was doing and talking about. We were originally slated to have the line snaked again with a camera inspection this time to find the root of the issue. After explaining our situation Randy suggested hydrojetting the line instead. He explained that while it was more expensive it was also more reliable with getting rid of roots in the pipe than snaking it. I took his advice and chose this service instead.
Randy took the time to show and explain everything in full detail while he was working. Pointing out the problem areas in our pipe as he discovered them. Ultimately he discovered 2 areas of the pipe with root growth. As he said the hydrojetting completely pulverized the roots. Through further camera inspection it was clear that now that the line was free of roots completely.

He explained that the roots would come back without a doubt. It was just a matter of time. He laid out all of our future options and potential costs. Took the time to provide and explain a quote.
Randy really made me feel as if he was there to help and inform me. Not just check a box on his call sheet. By far the best experience I've ever had with a plumber. He did a phenomenal job from start to finish. Highly recommend!

McVay Plumbing did a tremendous job at my property. They performed a full camera scope of the sewer line and were extremely thorough, finding four areas of damage on the main line and providing a detailed 9-minute video before leaving. They explained everything clearly, educated me on what’s there, what’s happening, and gave helpful advice on next steps.

On top of that, they even helped fix a stuck shark bite on an outdoor spigot (completely unrelated to the visit) and didn’t charge for it. The level of professionalism, honesty, and extra effort was impressive. I’d highly recommend McVay Plumbing to anyone looking for reliable, thorough, and knowledgeable service.

We had to have 47 feet of sewer line replaced. Contacted McVay Plumbing to inspect and see if we were able to have a liner installed. Thankfully we were and we only had to dig up a two foot square hole in our basement floor rather than 47 feet. They were very easy to work with, came on time to scheduled appointments and their staff was very professional and pleasant to work with.

We were recommended to McVay by a coworker who had a positive experience. From the initial phone call to set up an estimate to our last communication working out the payment, we found the experience easy and affordable. We were able to add some different features to our system, since we needed a complete AC/Heat Pump replacement, and working out those details were smooth. Our technician, Zach was friendly, polite and professional. We called for an emergency repair early in the morning and he came out and quickly diagnosed our furnace's issue. He was able to locate the broken part and replace it the same day, truly a lifesaver.

They were very upfront about the pricing and he explained everything in a very satisfactory manner.

This company seems trustworthy to me, and I will call them back in the future for other HVAC needs for my home.

From what I could find online the repair cost about as average as it could be. Our inducer motor had broken, (after 17 years,) and the new one had to be the name brand for the brand "American Standard," which is what contributed to our job costing slightly on the higher side of the average cost. Stuff like that can't be avoided sometimes, unfortunately.

A great company all around, as far as I can tell.

I had a drop water system installed and I am happy with my purchase. My sales rep and installation team 5/5+. The unit itself was just a bit slow off the line 4/5. I had a weird odor when we first ran it, I had to run the regen cycle 4 times and now we have odorless soft water that feels amazing.

The price for the unit and features that I picked was close to $1,000 less than competitive bids - I had 3 other companies come out. The sales rep was friendly and informative without being pushy - one competitor used health "scare tactics".

The install team also fixed a small thing unrelated to the install that we had discovered during the bid process that I had intended to replace myself, but hadn't got around to yet. I will definitely use McVay again.

We chose McVay over several other HVAC companies to install our new Bryant furnace/ heat pump system a month ago because of their association with Lowes and because of their excellent online ratings. Everything went like clockwork, installation was mostly done in 1 day. Unit seems to be working well, much quieter than its 25 year old predecessor. Communication with the company ( email text and voice) has been excellent although their AI answering service is a little too realistic. When the current free one year maintenance plan included with the purchase expires we plan to enroll in the McVay prepaid home maintenance program (HVAC, plumbing and electrical) on a yearly basis. Technicians have been friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Worth 5 stars.

Technician was very professional and courteous. McVay put my furnace in over 20 years ago when they were still Arendosh, it is still running and they have serviced it ever since. I have never had a problem with their courtesy and professionalism. I only thought the parts were overpriced, but I wanted OEM parts and that’s just Trane. I would recommend McVay to anyone. Just that it was over $800 for a blower motor and $1600+ total bill for the motor and a high efficiency filter.
