We Strive For 100% Customer Satisfaction
I bought an old home in Penn Hills that began having numerous plumbing related issues almost immediately. Toilets not flushing, drainage problems, and the pipes for the first floor bathroom went down into an unheated crawl space in the basement.
McVay was the first name that came up -- Mike came over within a few hours and fixed the plumbing issue in the bowl which was small. Three months later, in the dead of winter when the pipes in the unheated crawl froze and burst, Mike was over in around an hour, applied a heated tape to keep them from bursting again, and didn't charge me for the late night call.
I no longer live in pittsburgh but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to call them for work.

Drain Snake Service:
For stubborn blocked drains McVAY uses an electric drain snake cleaner (RIDGID K-1500). This machine uses the mechanical force of an electric motor to twist a flexible spring in a clockwise direction, and drive a cutter head into the drain. As a hobby, Michael McVay makes his own cutter heads, using wire brushes he welds on with carbide.
The drain snake can clean long sections of sewer drain, and has the ability to remove solid objects such as tree roots and jewelry.
By using the flexible springs it can easily negotiate bends while maintaining it’s effectiveness and without damaging the pipe. Drain Snaking also cleans the drain without the use of harmful chemicals.
