Outstanding work by everyone involved. Walt and Ryan did the installation work (excellent), and John did the rep work and set everything up for the job. I couldn't be more pleased. New water heater and new HVAC system installed in 2 days. No pressure sales pitch, no haggling. Everything came in at a price we were comfortable with after doing extensive research into what it should have cost us. A very pleasant surprise.

I would leave zero stars if it was possible. Mcvay Plumbing just scammed us out of $500. They charged us to “clean” our AC unit and they used a hose to spray our outside unit out then said a coil had a leak and they couldn’t find a replacement. They said they could replace our AC.
We got a 2nd opinion 5 days later and they found no leaks in coils & then did a superior job cleaning the outside unit with an expanding foam that forced the dirt out. He checked the AC inside unit and opened the furnace and checked everything. Our AC is working well.
My husband called McVay and they were rude and defensive. We will never use them again.

Had a tricky spigot in the garage and it required someone who knew what to do remove old leaking connection. We called and Jen accessed the situation and had to cut off old connection and replaced with a replacement connection. She took action and we are pleased with the results. Thanks Jen.

It was a hot day and Mcvay was the only company that had a person answer the phone. Others never called back. Got me in quickly and Ben repaired AC first try. Will definitely call again.

My review is based on an Extremely unsafe driver, who press on the gas pedal on a two lane that turned into one. Even though on the two lane he was behind me and I had my signal in advance, the driver chose to press on the gas pedal and force me to be in between the truck and the rail. I hunched my horn but it did not matter. I took the picture at 7:56am, it was not even 8 in the morning. I called the office to report the incident in hopes that that can be addressed. The whole thing was pointless and unnecessary, the driver preferred to risk an accident. If this company works as this driver then it is no brainer to move forward and find a different one.

I found the whole process of requesting service online with McVay to be very user-friendly. They were very communicative, sending multiple text, email, and call reminders to confirm my appointment and even calling me one time when I called accidentally and hung up without leaving a message, to make sure I didn't need anything. Jay had the problem diagnosed and completely fixed very quickly, in spite of my issue having stumped the last plumbing company to come out. And, the fix was surprisingly affordable! Great value for money and I would highly recommend this group to anyone.

No A/C for over a month and a half and FINALLY had it installed today. (Not McVay's fault!) Robert and Alex showed up at 8 am on the nose and were here in this heat until 3pm! Courteous, clean, and helpful! Showed us how to use everything and connected our thermostat to Google AND Alexa! Could not ask for a better experience! Thank you!

McVay came out to give me an estimate for HVAC replacement (and hot water tank as well). Bob called to update his arrival status and showed up on time. He was great and explained everything clearly and answered all my questions easily. After receiving some other estimates from various companies, I decided to move forward with McVay as I felt very comfortable with a company that has been around for a long time and one that has a lot of great reviews.

It's hard to have a good experience with emergency plumbing calls. This is an exception.

Their plumber, Nick L, was communicative, polite, professional, and thorough. Also, prompt to his arrival time estimate. Since purchasing our home in Pittsburgh, three years ago, we've had a mixed bag of experiences. This was a refreshing change.

Long story short, Dont use these guys unless you have to like myself(warranty claim for outside work). Sewage was backed up. Devon came out to camera the line and did a crap job. Had both inside and outside excavation work done. Inside floor drain needed replaced. Outside needed dug up to fix holes in the terrecotta pipe. Lines were not marked for the excavation crew. They fixed 2 holes in the line and the inside floor drain was replaced and a trap placed into it. Welp, the next day its backing up still. Devon came out to camera the line again. I was there to watch, he didnt see any breaks in the line this time. Guess what!? There were multiple breaks in the line! I had to ask him to go slower with the camera multiple times to be sure he isn't missing anything. (I should not have to). Do your job! They then had to come back out and dig it back up a second time! After about 5-6 appointments the sewage is finally not backing up! Now all i have to do is clean all the concrete and sand out of my landscaping were they thought it would be ok to clean their mixer and dump the excess. My cleanout outisde is now also buried under soil! Dont worry my crushed gutter line doesn't need fixed after running it over with an excavator. Not a single credit offered to us. Oh, and this took them a span of 4 months to complete correctly. Would not reccomend to anyone.

Kelsey was very personable, friendly and attentive to the issues presenting themselves in our home. She gave us multiple quotes for slightly different scopes of work which made for easy comparison. She also took the time to show me the work once finished and walk through warnings and proper maintenance of new pipes/drains. Prices were very fair & we will definitely be using McVay Plumbing again in the future.

Long story short, McVay Plumbing never called us to give us a more specific appointment time like they promised, never showed up during our scheduled appointment window, and I couldn’t even get someone to pick up the phone at the main office to figure out what was going on.

We scheduled an appointment with McVay Plumbing to have a waste stack pipe repaired. They scheduled us for an 8am - Noon appointment window and said we would receive a call that morning with a more specific time frame. I took the day off work. I never got the follow-up call. When I tried to call McVay Plumbing’s office to find out what was going on, the phone rang over and over again. I was never able to speak to anyone at the office. McVay Plumbing lost us as customers and I cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone.

Had a free estimate. Mike was courteous, knowledgeable and honest. Gave us two quotes and we’re planning on having them service our radiators. I see their trucks everywhere so I’m inclined to believe they’re experts!
