“We are a very new member of the McVay plumbing and heating customer base . On Sunday May 2nd our Carrier 58MVPPO80 26 years old furnaces that quit working . We placed a service call to McVay at 9:07 am, and had a technician at our house by10:30. The technician Zach Baughman arrived on site and immediately started diagnosis the problem . He was immediately able to diagnose our problem by having a good knowledge and understanding of our furnace, within 5 minutes he determined that our secondary heat ex changer was most likely the problem . In addition Zach informed us of the history of our Carrier 58MVP furnace and a 2007 class action lawsuit that Carrier lost. Up until recently we were using a competitor for services on our furnace in fact they were the installation company . But in 25 years they never informed us about this settlement .
Regrettably Zach wasn't able to repair the furnace due to the failure of the secondary heat ex changer . But he immediately contacted the comfort department , and setup an appointment with John Ackerman for 2:30 that afternoon . John, called around noon and was able to get to our home by 12:30. John was extremely helpful ,knowledgeable and professional . John reviewed our situation and recommend what appears to be a perfect solution for our house . To be honest our furnace has not been installed as of yet. But I am truly expecting a problem free installation . I will let everyone know .”
